IIMs with best placements in India 2023

IIM Placement process for MBA/PGP courses take place in December-February every year. IIM placement is consists of three process namely summer, lateral and final placement. It releases their final placement report for its outgoing batch in between January and July. As per IIM placement statistics the average IIM salary package offered to candidates in top IIMs ranges between Rs 20-25 lakh per annum. Whereas the salary package of newer/ baby IIMs falls between Rs 10-20 lakh per annum.

The highest IIM salary offers by IIM A, B, and C ranges from Rs 70 lakh to Rs 1 Cr. IIM International salary package are usually Rs 70 lakh and above per annum.

IIM Placements: Highlights

• The 58th batch of IIM Calcutta achieved 100 percentile placement with a total of 190 firms providing 573 offers to 465 students.
• IIM Indore also completes the final placement process for the academic batch of 2022-24. Around 150+ recruiters making offers to the batch of 594 students.
• In the final placement process of IIM Ahmedabad, Accenture makes a total of 25 offers in cluster 1.
• IIM Ahmedabad completed cluster 2 and 3 placement process on February 9 and 12. TCS the was top recruiter at IIM-A third cluster placement.

Placement Overview

Every year, prominent companies like E&Y, Deloitte, Accenture, Walmart, Accenture, Amazon, Zomato etc participate in the IIM placement drive to recruit management graduates in various job roles. The PGP/ MBA graduates are offered various managerial roles in different cohorts such as BFSI, Core Manufacturing & Infrastructure, Analytics & IT Consulting, Government Enterprises, Logistics etc.

IIM Placement Process

The placement process at IIMs involves three main activities – namely summer, lateral, and final placements.

• Summer Placements: Summer placements are organized during April-May to recruit students for internships in companies. Summer placements help build the platform for receiving pre-placement offers (PPOs). The IIM summer placements happen over four to five days in March. The process is guided by detailed regulations for students and recruiters.
• Lateral Placements: The IIM lateral placements take place a couple of months before the IIM final placements in which 2-year MBA/ PGP students with work experience (18+ months) can participate.
• Final Placements: The IIM final placement process which takes place in December/ January is almost the same across all the IIMs except for a few minor deviations here and there. For example, IIMA follows a cohort-based system instead of a day-based system. A cohort-based system allows recruiters to be evaluated in groups based on domain or expertise over a longer period.

IIM Ahmedabad Placement 2023-2024

As per the previous year, final placement report of IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Ahmedabad highest package was RS 61.49 LPA and the highest international package stood at US $140,599 for the batch 2022, whereas the average IIM package for MBA (Domestic) stood at Rs 32.8 LPA and IIM Ahmedabad average package (International) stood at $ 108,405. IIM Ahmedabad will release the IIM placement report for the batch of 2024-2026.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow will announce its final placement for the PGP batch. The Institute secured 100% placement with 632 offers. In the placement process of IIM Lucknow, there were 71.3% male and 28.7% female candidates. The highest CTC offered was Rs. 1 Cr per month.

The IIM Indore placement 2024 report is expected to achieve 100% placements for its PGP and IPM batch. Last year, IIM Indore completed 100% final placements 2023 for IPM and MBA batches with 132% rise in the highest salary which has gone up at Rs. 1.14 Cr per annum, while average salary of IIM graduate was 21% rise, has gone up at Rs.30.21 LPA. 568 students of 2 Years PGP and 5 years IPM got offers from 160 marquee recruiters from diverse sectors, offering diverse roles. Consulting emerged as the biggest recruiting domain with 29% of offers.

IIM Visakhapatnam Placements 2023 has been concluded with 100% placements. Last year, IIM Visakhapatnam average package increased by 10.29% at Rs 16.61 LPA whereas IIM Visakhapatnam highest package stood at Rs 32.65 LPA. 17% of the total number of students (193 students) received dual offers.

The highest number of offers came from the IT & Consulting sector (33%) followed by the BFSI sector (26%). The highest number of offers were made for the Product, Strategy & Consulting roles (25%). 141 companies participated in the placement drive among which 95 were new recruiters. Some of the top recruiters included Amazon, Asian Paints, Deloitte, Adani Group, Cognizant etc.

IIM Bodhgaya Placements 2023 is out with 100% placements. The IIM average salary increased by 33% at Rs 16 LPA last year whereas the highest salary increased by more than 100% at Rs 48.58 LPA in IIM Bodh Gaya placement. 70 recruiters participated in the placement drive. Some of the top recruiters are Amazon, BNY Mellon, Deloitte, HCL, Infosys, ICICI Bank etc. Recruiters came from various sectors like BFSI, Consulting, FMCG, IT & Services, IT & Analytics etc.

During placements 2023, 123 recruiters in total, including 36 new recruiters, participated. The well-known recruiters offered more than 500 offers. With 33% of offers made, the consulting industry took the top spot for recruiting. Accenture, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, and other significant recruiters took part in the IIM Kozhikode placements 2023.

The top domestic and international salaries were Rs 67 LPA and Rs 35.50 LPA, respectively, during the IIM Ranchi MBA placements 2023. Additionally, the average CTC during the IIM Ranchi placement 2023 was Rs 17.30 LPA. In addition to this, a total of 124 companies were on campus during IIM Ranchi MBA 2023 placements, and 76 PPOs.
