How to prepare well for General Test

Preparing for the CUET General Test 2024 can be bit challenging for students. This section is one of the significant and new sections in CUET preparation. The CUET General test checks a candidates knowledge and skills in various subjects like mathematics, general awareness, English language, and analytical reasoning. By strategically preparing for the General Test, you can take your CUET preparation to another level. In previous years, the total number of candidates appearing for CUET was approximately 12 Lakhs, indicating a very high level of competition. As the competition is high and total number of seats are limited it is important to start preparing early. In this article we will discuss on “How to prepare well for General Test”.

The General Test section will contain a total of 75 questions, out of which you need to attempt only 60. For each correct answer you will score 5 marks, and you have a total of 60 minutes to complete this section.

2. Practice is essential to perform well in any examination. Practicing more will help you to improve your calculation speed and manage your time during the actual exam. Students must solve 40-50 questions daily from this section to develop their efficiency. 

3. The next important step is to go through the previous year’s questions.

The syllabus for this section specifically includes static general knowledge and current affairs. So many candidates often wonder how many months of current affairs they need to study to score well. It is advisable to cover at least 6 months of current affairs.
