(Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test)

IPMAT (Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test) is conducted by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak for admission into their coveted Integrated Programme in Management. IPMAT is usually written by students who have just completed their 12th standard and wish to pursue their career in management. Students from different academic backgrounds, can appear for IPMAT if they wish to pursue a career in management and related roles.

IPMAT is conducted each year by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak and the scores of which are also accepted by other renowned B Schools like IIM Ranchi, IIFT Kakinada, NALSAR University, TAPMI, NIRMA etc for their IPM course. It is a computer based exam which tests the aptitude skills and English proficiency of the candidates. The shortlisting for final selection round is based on the scores obtained in the exam.

    Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) is a dual degree Five Year Programme in Management i.e. BBA + MBA. It offers the students a unique option of completing their three- year graduation in BBA and then directly getting promoted to their two- year MBA program without taking any other entrance exam. For the first three years, students study BBA subjects whereby they build their fundamentals and for the next two years they student along with the MBA students and complete their masters.
    IPMAT is a selection test conducted by IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak based on which students get admission into their IPM course. It is a test to evaluate the language proficiency and the aptitude of the candidates.
    Currently there are five IIMs offering IPM - IIM Indore, IIM Rohtak, IIM Ranchi, IIM Jammu and IIM Bodhgaya. IIM Indore and Rohtak conduct their separate exams for the admission process into their programme. IIM Ranchi considers the IPMAT- Indore scores while IIM Jammu and Bodhgaya together conduct a separate test (JIPMAT) for the shortlisting of the candidates into their IPM course. Other than, the IIMs, some notable colleges like Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) Kakinada, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, NIRMA etc also offer IPM course based on the scores obtained in the IPMAT.
    A minimum of 60% is required both in the X and the XII for all the general category students while it is 55% for all the SC/ST and PwD categories. Age limit: 20 years or below.

    IPMAT Indore is a computer based test and evaluates the proficiency of the candidates based on their logical, quantitative and linguistic skills. It is to be noted that the structure of these exams keep on changing with time and one needs to keep abreast with the latest changes. But the broader framework of the exam remains the same.
    IPMAT Indore has three sections- Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability (Short Answer type) and Quantitative Ability (MCQ). As per IPMAT 24, there were a total of 90 questions to be solved in a duration of 2 hours i.e. 120 mins. Each section has an allocated time of 40 minutes and one cannot switch between the sections.

    IPMAT Rohtak is conducted by IIM Rohtak for its own intake of IPM course. IPMAT Rohtak has three sections- Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability. There are a total of 120 questions to be answered in a duration of 2 hours. Here one can switch between any section at any point of time during the examination.

    JIPMAT is also a computer-based entrance test conducted for the five year integrated programme in Management offered by IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Jammu. Overall there are 100 questions distributed across 3 sections- Quantitative Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Reading comprehension. The total duration of exam is 150 minutes.
