XAT 2025
XAT 2025 is a national-level entrance exam for admission to MBA/PGDM programs at over 160 B-schools in India. Every year, XLRI Jamshedpur conducts this exam in the first week of January. The exam duration is 3 hours and it consists of four sections: Verbal and Logical Ability, Decision Making, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge.
This entrance is conducted in an online mode and has both objective and subjective questions. Please note that you should check the official website or contact the organizing body for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
XAT 2025 Institutes
There are more than 120 colleges that accept XAT 2025 scores for admission to their MBA/PGDM programs. Some of them are:
- XLRI Jamshedpur: It is the conducting body of XAT and one of the most reputed B-schools in India. It offers PGDM programs in Business Management, Human Resource Management, and General Management.
- XIM Bhubaneswar: This institute offers MBA programs in Business Management, Human Resource Management, Rural Management, Sustainability Management, and Urban Management and Governance.
- SPJIMR Mumbai: It is one of the top-ranked institutes that provides PGDM programs in Finance, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain, and Information Management.
- IMT Ghaziabad: This is a leading institute that offers PGDM programs in Marketing, Finance, Banking and Financial Services, Business Analytics, and Digital Business Transformation.
- TAPMI Manipal: This college offers PGDM programs in General Management, Banking and Financial Services, Human Resource Management, and Marketing and Sales Management.

XAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The official application guidelines are yet to be announced. But, from past years, here are the basic eligibility criteria for XAT 2025:
- The candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree of a minimum of three years duration or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Final-year students can also apply, subject to completion of their degree by June 2025.
- There is no age limit or minimum percentage required.
XAT 2025 Estimated Dates
The XAT 2025 exam date is expected to be January 5, 2025. XLRI Jamshedpur will be announcing the official date for the exam in the first week of July 2024. This exam will be held in over 70 cities across India. Indeed, candidates must select the test city for exam centre allotment in the XAT 2025 application form according to their preferences. How To Apply For the Registration Process?
The registration process for XAT 2025 is expected to start in the first week of August 2024 and end in the first week of December 2024. On the date of the registration portal opening, the candidates can apply for the XAT 2025 registration process. To do so, you can use the following steps:
- Visit the official XAT website.
- Create an account with a valid email ID.
- Fill in the required details in the application form.
- Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
- Lastly, pay the application fee through the specified online modes.
XAT 2025 Exam Fees
The candidates have to fill out an online application form on the official website and pay the application fee of Rs. 2100/-. In addition, for XLRI and other participating institutes, they have to pay an additional fee of Rs. 200/- per institute.

Tentative Exam Pattern
The exam pattern of XAT 2025, based on its previous years’ exams is depicted below.

The total number of questions is around 100 and the marking scheme is +1 for correct answers, -0.25 for incorrect answers, and -0.10 for unattempted questions. The candidates have to attempt the first three sections in a sequence within 165 minutes. However, there is no sectional time limit or switching between sections.
The General Knowledge section is separate and should be complete in 15 minutes. Besides, the candidates can also use an online calculator for the Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation section. The Verbal and Logical Ability and Decision Making sections have only objective questions, while the Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation section has both objective and subjective questions. Although the General Knowledge section has only objective questions and is not considered for percentile calculation.
XAT 2025 Syllabus Tentative
The syllabus of XAT 2025 is based on topics that are relevant to management education and career. The following areas are covered by the syllabus rather than not being fixed or predefined.

Admit Card
Once you successfully register, you can download the admit card from the XAT’s official website. It usually contains details such as your name, photograph, exam centre, and timings.
The admit card, along with a valid photo ID, are the most important documents to carry on exam day. The candidates have to reach the exam centre well before the reporting time. In addition, they have to follow all the exam instructions carefully.
Expected Result
The result of XAT 2025 is expected to be in the third week of January 2025. The candidates can check their scorecard and percentile on the official website by entering their login credentials. The scorecard will contain the sectional and overall scores and percentiles. The students can also download and print it for future reference. Note that the scorecard will be valid for one year.
