A student need to secure a minimum passing marks declared by each college to get in DU colleges. The admission criteria for Delhi University (DU) via the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will differ from college to college. It will also depend on the program or department student wish to apply for. Hence, it is important to understand that the minimum score required for admission to DU colleges through CUET will vary from course to course. Every college decides its minimum score taking in consideration to various factors such as the number of available seats, the difficulty level of the CUET exam, and the performance of the applicants in the examination.
Factors affecting CUET Cut-off for DU Colleges:
1.There are some factors that will help students in determining the cut-offs for upcoming CUET.
2. Total number of applicants who appeared for the DU CUET exam.
3. The total number of seats offered by Delhi University for different courses.
4. The difficulty level of the exam questions.
5. The average marks obtained by candidates in the CUET exam.
In the year 2022, it was observed that those students who scored more than 700 out of 800 in the CUET exam were allotted seats in the most popular colleges of Delhi University. These students could make it to their preferred colleges. Also a student scoring between the range of 400-600 can also be considered as an average score in CUET exam. Students with such scores are likely to get admission to good colleges in India. Whereas a student should always try to score above 700 to get admission to colleges as per their choice.
However, achieving the minimum score in CUET exam does not guarantee admission to Delhi University (DU). In addition to the CUET score, the university will also look into factors like academic background, involvement in extracurricular activities of the candidate. Hence, we can conclude that gaining admission to DU is a very competitive process.
